
Did you know that prescription and over-the-counter medications are among the most commonly misused substances by teens? They also pose a significant risk of accidental poisoning for young children and potential misuse by seniors.
On April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join us for a free Medication Take-Back Event and safely dispose of unused or expired medications, including prescription drugs, veterinary medications, over-the-counter remedies, and vaping devices (batteries must be removed).

Events occur at Auburn, Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville, and Placer County. Visit https://www.dea.gov/takebackday#collection-locator to find a location that is most convenient for you.
What’s accepted:
- Prescription medications
- Over-the-counter medications
- Veterinary medications
- Vaping devices (batteries removed)
Please note – not accepted:
- Sharps or lancets
- Medical waste
- Illicit substances, including marijuana
Keep medications in their original containers, and remember to cross out or remove personal information.
