Have expired or unwanted medications sitting in a cabinet? Don’t flush them down the toilet or pour them down the drain.

A free medication take-back event will be held throughout western Placer County on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents can safely and anonymously drop off unused or expired medications at several convenient locations.

Proper disposal helps keep medications out of the wrong hands while also protecting our wastewater system and the environment.
